Crohn’s disease and me

I’ve not been very well. In fact I’ve not been very well for some time. This is my story of the last 12 years living with Crohn’s disease.
2002: Diagnosis
In September 2001 I went to give blood and they found I was severely anaemic. After some tests my GP diagnosed me with Irritable Bowl Syndrome. No problem. I had been having a little pain after eating for a while but didn’t think anything of it.
When I didn’t get any better my GP referred me to the local hospital. They ran some more tests including an endoscopy and colonoscopy and on 8 February 2002 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s.
